Scripture: Matthew 6:22-23

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.”

Key Idea

You must train your imagination to see what you desire to experience.

Point #1

What is Imagination?
The faculty of mind that images and forms;
The power to shape and form thought.
 Through this faculty the formless takes form.
The imaging faculty presides at the nerve center between

“In picturing health in the body, you are not trying to put something into the body that is not already there. You are not trying to force the body into a mold of your own making. Instead, you are claiming and releasing the potential perfection, the ‘imprisoned splendor’.” (Pg. 136)

“The power of the imagination must express in one way or another, but it is always at work, constructively or destructively.” (Pg 155)

Your Soul Work – Create a Wheel of Fortune

1 Draw or trace a large circle on a sheet of paper or poster board. Draw or trace a small circle in the middle. Then divide the circle into four parts using straight lines.  Your picture should look like a wheel with spokes.
2 Decide on four areas to focus. You can choose from business, family, spiritual, social, relationships, finances, health, or any focus you desire.
3 In the center, add an image that represents God to you or write your spiritual name like, I am love, or I am power.
4 Find one or two pictures that show the results of what you desire to achieve in those areas of your life.
5 Write an affirmation at the bottom, like, I gratefully receive my good now. Or, This or something better, thy will be done.
6 Look at the wheel every day for 30 days. Be sure to look at it lovingly and calmly.

Sermon Title: After Amen

Scripture: James 2:14-18, 26

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Surely that faith cannot save, can it? If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill,” and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from works, and I by my works will show you faith.

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead.

Sermon points:

Amen is a peculiar force of consciousness.

In God there is an eternal yes, but your part is to get into a Yes consciousness, and stay there. Change your mind and keep it changed.

Practice the Presence of God through prayer, meditation, sitting in the silence, spiritual study, affirmations and denials, sacred movement, basking in nature, visualization and more!

How to Break the Resistance Barrier – 2nd Wind:

Thesis: There is nowhere in the all the world where you can get any closer to God than right where you are. God is present in his entirety within you as much as in a great mystic…even Jesus.

Sermon Title: Suffering Vicariously

Scripture: Matthew 6:25, 27, 33

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life…. And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life?…But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Key point: Love is freeing someone to their own wholeness

What to do when you are concerned for someone

1. Change your thought about the person.

2. Release thoughts of love, life, substance to them. Radiate the contagion of a triumphant spirit. Salute the divinity within.

3. Let go. Know peace Know love.

4. Lift up your eyes from the grim appearance.

5. Give thanks for the good.
