NOVEMBER 7   

THE SPIRIT OF THE ALMIGHTY GOES BEFORE ME

To those who are good (to me), I am good; and to those who are not good (to me), I am good; and thus (all) get to be good.

The Tao Te Ching

I know that the Power of Good is an underlying principle of the universe and that it is a manifestation of God.  I know that God is All-Good.  I know that Good underlies all manifestations of thought and form because Good is harmony, complete balance.  Good is at the root of all manifestation, regardless of its seeming absence.  I know that this good is the basic principle of my existence; that which I Am is Good.  It is the vital, living Force that supports my every thought and deed when they are in harmony with It.

The love of God fills my being and my life reflects the divine harmony which eternally guides my footsteps aright.  Divine Intelligence inwardly inspires and instructs that I may have the right ideas and the right guidance to do the good that I would do in my life.

Today I uncover the perfection within me.  In its fullness I reveal the indwelling kingdom.  I look out upon the world of my affairs, knowing that the Spirit within me makes my way both immediate and easy.  I know there is nothing in me that could possibly obstruct or withhold the divine circuit of Life and Love, which Good is.  My word dissolves every negative thought or impulse that could throw a shadow over my perfection.  Good flows through me to all.  Good shines through my thoughts and actions.  Good harmonizes my mind, so that Love sings joyously in my heart, and I am completely conscious of All-Good in me, around me and in all that is.  I am in complete unity with my Good.

NOVEMBER 6 

AT THE CENTER OF MY BEING IS PEACE

They rise upward who are settled in Harmony

At the center of my being is peace – the peace that is felt in the coolness of evening, when men have turned from their labor and the first star shines in the soft light of the sky.  There is a freshness, a vitality, a power underlying this Peace.  It broods over the earth quietly, tenderly, as a mother watches over her sleeping babe.

Divine Wisdom illumines me.  Infinite Energy activates me.  All that I am and all that I have responds to the magnetic pull of Divine Life. 

In this Peace which holds me so gently, I feel strength and protection from all fear, all anxieties.  It is the Peace of God, and underneath it all, I feel the Love of the Holy Presence.  As I become more conscious of this Love, all lack, all fear, all that is false, slips away as mist fades in the morning sunshine.  I see God in everything, personified in all people, manifest in every event.  The Spirit is not separated from the person or the event; It unites each to Itself, vitalizing each with the energy of Its own being, creating each through Its own divine imagination.  I, too, am an instrument of Its perfection.  I am one with deep, abiding Peace.  I know that all is well, I know that as I permit this Peace to flow through my being, through my mind and heart, every problem is released.  The way is made clear before me.  It is filled with joy and harmony.   

NOVEMBER 5         

TODAY I CONSCIOUSLY LET GO OF EVERY DISCORD

Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

II Corinthians 13:11

I drop all sense of lack or limitation from my thought and every belief which I have ever had in lack or fear.  I now have a belief in success and faith.  I permit the Spirit within me to express Itself in perfect freedom, bringing increasing joy into my experience. There is that within me which is completely conscious of its unity with Good, of its oneness with all the Power there is and all the Presence there is and all the Life there is.  Upon this Power, Presence and Life, I depend with implicit certainty, with complete confidence and with absolute assurance.

There is a divine circulation flowing through me.  The vitality and the energy of life flow through my every act.  I am seeing in everyone around me the manifestation of perfect life.  I am letting my mind dwell on joy and happiness, and I am knowing that this joy and happiness go out to others.

I allow the Divine Wholeness to flow through me into ever-widening fields of activity.  Every good which I have ever experienced is now increased tenfold.  Every joy which I have ever experienced is now multiplied.  There is a new influx of inspiration into my thought.  I see more clearly than ever before that my Divine birthright is freedom, joy and eternal goodness.  I perceive this same birthright is bequeathed to all people.  All power is delivered unto me and this power I use for my own and every other man’s good.  This Divine Presence interprets Itself to me in love and friendship.  Peace, joy and goodness are mine now and forever.

NOVEMBER 4   

TODAY I MEDITATE UPON MY DIVINE INHERITANCE

Every state of happiness that appears in the body or the mind is said to be due to the quality of Goodness.

The Mahabharata

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God.”  The kingdom of God is at hand.  I inherit everything that belongs to this kingdom.  The riches and the power and the glory of this kingdom are mine now.  I do not rob anyone by entering into the fullness of the kingdom of power, of joy and of abundance.  I recognize that everyone inherits the same kingdom.  There is no law of human heredity imposed upon me. Evil has no history.  Limitation has no past.  That which is opposed to good, has no future.  The eternal now is filled with perfection.  I always have been and always shall remain a complete, perfect and whole expression of the Eternal Mind, which is God, the Living Spirit Almighty.

All that the Father hath is mine.  I am now entering into the Kingdom of Good which love has prepared for me.  I am letting go of all the cares and fears of yesterday.  I am looking forward to tomorrow in quiet confidence and with joyful expectation.  And I am living today in the glorious fulfillment of the law of good.

Today I enter into the limitless variations which the Divine Spirit has projected into my experience.  I know that all things are good when rightly used.  I perceive that all experience is a play of Life upon itself.  I enter into the game of living, then, with joyful anticipation, with spontaneous enthusiasm and with the determination to play the game well and to enjoy it.  Today I enter into my Divine inheritance.  I have freed my thought from the belief that external conditions are imposed upon me by birth, through inherited tendencies or race belief.  I proclaim the freedom of my Divine sonship.  I possess the kingdom of God today, in all of its fullness.

NOVEMBER 3   

I OVERCOME HATE WITH LOVE   

Therefore it is clear that Ignorance can only be removed by wisdom.

Raja Yoga Philosophy

I know that there is but One Power in the universe, and that Power is God.  That Power manifests in and through all form, all people, all conditions, and so is at the very center of my being.  This Power is Life itself, and Its nature is Love – All-Good.  I know that just as light dissipates darkness, just as heat warms the atmosphere, so a consciousness of good overcomes the negation of evil (hate), dissipates it, obliterates it, blots it out.

I refuse to think of hate or any negation as a power and I know that it will flee from me. Its dissolution is its flight – it disappears.  Hate cannot exist where love is recognized and knowing that good alone is real, I turn the searchlight of Eternal Truth upon every so-called evil in my experience, and these dark places of imagination are instantly dissolved into light.  The dissolution of evil is complete; the manifestation of good is perfect.  I know that Love protects Its own, and now makes it clear the way before me, eliminating everything that looked like hate.  I am guided into an ever-widening unfoldment of being, and my every thought, feeling and act is an expression of the God Nature – Love – through me. Continuously I overcome hate with love.

So I give back into the great and divine Presence that which it has given to me, knowing that the gift will again be returned, but multiplied.  So shall peace and joy come as a light from heaven, and in that light I walk.

NOVEMBER 2   

THE INFINITE LAW OF GOOD BRINGS ME COMPLETE SATISFACTION

Then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Proverbs 3:10

There is a Power operating through me, a Presence inspiring, guiding and sustaining me.  Upon this Power, I place my reliance.  In this Presence, I feel myself to be an outlet of immeasurable good.  Because I am in this Divine Presence, and because It is in me, and because this Divine has all power, I know that my thought is made manifest in a perfect demonstration of health, of harmony and of success.

I know that the Creative Law of Good is infinite and has all power to accomplish.  I know Its whole desire for me is freedom and joy.  Therefore, I declare that freedom and joy are mine today.  This freedom and joy spontaneously express in my experience, and there is nothing within me that can hinder this expression.  Because this All-Good is mine, and because it constitutes the only Presence there is in the universe, I know that freedom and joy cannot be separated from me.

Realizing that the kingdom of love is at hand today, I enter into this kingdom with a song of praise, a hymn of joy.  Knowing that God is hid in everything, I reveal this Divine Presence to myself and to others, in sympathy, in love, in kindness.

I am conscious that there is an Infinite Wisdom directing me.  Whatever I should know, I shall know.  Whatever I should do, I shall do.  Whatever belongs to me must come to me.  Because of the Infinite Intelligence which is mine and which is within me now, I am compelled to recognize my good; to see more; to understand and accept and express more.  I know the Infinite Law of Good is always bringing complete satisfaction into my life.  

NOVEMBER 1   

I DWELL IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD

In my father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.

John 14:2

The Household of God is the Household of Perfection.  It is the Secret Place of the Most High.  The inmates of this Household are all Divine Beings.  Nothing can enter the consciousness of any of these inmates which contradicts the unity of Good.  Each and every member of this Household is at peace with all other members.  There is a community of peace, of understanding, of fellowship, of love and unity. 

In this Household of God – which is any man’s household who declares to be such – there is no bickering, no jealousy, and no avenue through which any littleness or meanness may operate.  It is not only a household of peace, it is a household of joy, it is a place of happiness and general contentment.  Here is warmth, color and beauty.  This earthly household symbolizes the Divine Harmony of the Kingdom of God.

No one is a stranger within this household.  Nothing is alien to it.  It is protected from all fear, from every sense of loss.  Nothing can enter it but joy, integrity and friendship.  The same good I realize belongs to everyone else.  I do not desire a good for myself which is greater than the good I desire for all people.  Neither do I deny myself the good I affirm for all others.  In this Household, the Host is God, the Living Spirit Almighty, and all who dwell in this Household are guests of the Eternal Host.

OCTOBER 31  

I AM NOT FOOLED BY EVIL, I RECOGNIZE IT ONLY TO DESTROY IT

For the evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. 

Psalm 37:9

The sole value of evil is that it shows us the point of attack.  The metaphysician attacks evil at its point of origin, which is the consciousness of the one experiencing it.  We do no avoid it, we accept its evidence, for then we know to treat it.  If we are unaware of it, then we cannot erase it.  We know that God is omnipotent, and that evil has no power to confuse us except as we believe it has.  It can be destroyed through scientific prayer, when we have perceived its presence within us.  Each attempt of error to manifest is a call to prayer.  It is the battle cry of treatment.  It is our opportunity to prove that God is all, and nothing can stop us when we are thinking Godly terms.  We, then, make specific denials and affirmations regarding its unique form, and soon it has been eliminated from our experience.  This is the better way.

I believe that God is all there really is, and that each attempt of evil to manifest in my world today is merely a call to prayer.  I deny all evil, and affirm all good.  Error is a lie and has no truth in it.  It has no basis, no plan and no constancy.  God alone is true, perfect and complete.  I now destroy all negative thinking out of my consciousness through this word of Truth.  I live in a world of good, and all is well.  God is where I am at every instant of this day, and I know that and rejoice in this.  The Peace of God is upon me.  The Love of God surrounds me.  The Joy of the Lord wells up within me.  I live, move and have my being in a perfect Mind and a perfect Presence, and all else is as nothing.     

OCTOBER 30   

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 

John 1:9

Darkness is always the symbol of ignorance, while light is the symbol of wisdom and Truth.  Darkness is always temporary, while Truth is eternal.  Our problems, which are our individual darkness, never long endure.  At the most a problem could only endure ninety to a hundred years for any of us.  But, it need not last for even a day of we can turn to the Light of Truth and find our peace.  Within each of us, there is something that is saying, “I am the light of the world, if ye will follow me, ye shall have eternal light.”  This paraphrase of one of Jesus’ great statements is true for all who will try it.  It assures us that if we make the effort to look for the good in any situation, we shall find it, and having found it, it will increase, and the evil therein will decrease.  Right where we are, God is.  In the midst of our problem is the Mind and the Idea that will solve the problem.  We must know this and act upon this promise.

I walk in the Light of Truth.  There is no darkness on my pathway, for my God is with me, and my God indwells me.  I am the Light of my own world, and I let my Light shine.  I radiate Divine Love to all I meet this day.  I speak the loving word to all I greet this day.  I know that from a center within myself there flows out through me the Light of healing.  All my affairs are now illuminated with Infinite Intelligence.  I am wise with the wisdom of Spirit.  The Light of God fills my consciousness and I know everything that I need to know instantly.  My pathway is radiant with good and I am divinely guided in all my ways.  My world is alive with God, and my body is filled with the Light of Life.
