Membership is ideal for those who seek a place to grow and expand spiritually. We’re your tribe if you desire a spiritual training that offers immediate life application. In addition to our vibrant Sunday Worship Experience, we offer a weekly Bible study, spiritual education classes plus multiple opportunities to pray and meditate for spiritual growth. While anyone may participate in our activities, only members have the privilege to vote on decisions that impact UP Church’s future.

The purpose of the Prayer Chaplain Ministry is to support the ministerial team in praying for membership. Prayer Chaplains are the backbone of UP Church as they stand in prayer with members in need. Comprehensive training is provided.

It’s your time to let God shine! Bring your songs! Bring your dances! Bring your fine art! Bring your full creative expression and allow God to express through you in a mighty way. The Creative Arts Ministry is a vehicle for you to share your gifts. If you sing, dance, act, write, create visual/graphic art or make films, we have a place for you to thrive: UP Worship Team, UP Choir, Sunday Morning Band, Praise Dancers, Dramatic Arts and Social and Digital Media. Be a part of this creative spiritual collective making art that serves and transforms the world…with LOVE.
Up Music Ministry serves as the foundation or gatekeepers to the worship experience. We usher in the Holy Spirit through song and instruments. Our assignment is to support the principles and lessons given by our Shepherds using music that uplifts and opens the hearts and minds of the listener.
We continue to maintain and expand the legacy of our founder the Reverend Dr. Della Reese, who declared that, the “Message Is In the Music”. Every week we continue to be obedient to scripture (Psalms 100:1-2), “Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord all ye lands serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing”. Our Choir, Praise teams, and Band are committed to charging the atmosphere with joy, love, praise, and exaltation.

The Showing UP and Out for God Praise Dance Ministry is a God-idea made manifest to convey our Bible based New Thought messages through the powerful art form of dance. We use movement to the Glory of God because we recognize our oneness with Father-Mother-Spirit Divine! God is our very heartbeat, the blood that courses through our veins, the breath! We are the body Temple of the Spirit of the Living God! Not only is the message in the music at UP Church, the message is in the DANCE! Dances are choreographed for all levels. The Social & Digital Media Ministry is the playground for Graphic Designers, Video Editors, Filmmakers, Content Creators and/or Digital Storytellers. At UP Church we’ve got something to share and that what we do. We create shareable art using social media tools and platforms, in order to extend the impact of UP Church beyond the physical walls. Come play, learn and grow with us as we create digital shareable art that transforms lives for the better.

Up For Wellness is a New Thought Christian ministry that empowers individuals with spiritual principles, metaphysical teachings, resources, and practical tools to inspire, give hope, and contribute to the Spiritual, Mental and Physical health and wellbeing of each individual. In the words of Rev Johnnie Coleman, “We recognize that the Kingdom of God is Within us, waiting for us to bring it into expression” and as such we hold space and healing consciousness in mind for all and affirm the Truth and wellness journey of those who live with special health concerns. We believe that everyone can benefit from healthy lifestyle upgrades and maintenance. We actively seek to study and learn God’s principles together while strengthening our spiritual muscle, physical fortitude and mental resilience. We embrace our individual and collective health journeys and affirm that good health is our birthright. Our mission is to make the practice of health and wellness an engaging, fun, supportive, non-dogmatic and non-negotiable choice for health seekers everywhere.
