We are excited about being a part of the
future of Understanding Principles for Better Living. The Men's C.U.P. stands for
Christian- Men of Understanding Principles.
Our goal is to align ourselves with all men who possess
the same ultimate vision: To be a better Christian man in our family, work and church.
This union of men come together to socialize, network, initiate change, assist our church
in all ways needed. We hold our meetings the third Saturday of every month at 2 PM at 6090
W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles.
We are also joining together with the Women of UP and the
Fundraising Committee in planning future events. We are starting a Mentorship program
which involves bonding and interacting with the young men of UP, and in our own
communities. believe that a role model is not someone on TV or a sports superstar, but
someone in your immediate surroundings, i.e. father, brother, uncle, friend, teacher,
minister. It is someone with whom we can communicate on a daily basis. We want to raise
the awareness of the men in our church and communities to know that they have the power to
be a positive role model in a child's and/or a young man's life. We want to encourage
young men to teach and be a role model themselves. In addition to our Mentorship Program,
we are developing a Scholarship Program for young people who show the qualities of
positive role models and who, through their pursuit of a post secondary education, will
continue their leadership. We want to stress the many opportunities for young people to
achieve success.
Rev. Della and Rev. Knight attended our recent meeting to
bless and inspire and raise our consciousness for the wonderful adventure that the Men's
C.U.P, has embarked upon and also to assist us in supporting their vision for the men of
UP.
These are just a few activities of the Men's
C.U.P. Just
as important, the men of UP believe in supporting, caring, respecting and loving our women
with the Divine guidance we receive from GOD.
We look forward to being an active part in the growth of
Understanding Principles for Better Living Church.
